Special Economic Zone (SEZ) would be set up at Ambala

The Haryana Chief Minister, Mr. Bhupinder Singh Hooda while addressing a  rally organised by Naggal MLA, Mr. Nirmal Singh at Anaj Mandi, Ambala City here today Mr. Hooda said that Dadupur-Nalwi canal which was the lifeline of this area was being constructed at a cost of Rs 270 crore and the work would be completed within next three years. He asserted that Congress party  had never believed in the politics of votes rather it believes only in the welfare of all the sections of the society. He said that Ambala had a great significance in the history of India as the 1857 revolution was first started from Ambala. The Chief Minister announced a Special Economic Zone (SEZ) would be set up at Ambala and 50 per cent land would be made available by the government for this SEZ.  He said that a Special Economic Zone was already being set up in the state which would generate the employment for the five lakh people by investing Rs One lakh crore. He said that during next five year, an investment of Rs Two lakh crore would be ensured besides providing employment to 10 lakh people in the state. The Urban Employment and Poverty Alleviation Minister of State, Ms. Selja  said that sincere efforts were being made to check the growing rising prices in the country by the Prime Minister, Dr. Manmohan Singh and All India Congress Party President, Mrs. Sonia Gandhi. She said that the oil prices had touched a new height in the international market at the rate of 75 Dollar per barrel. She said that Haryana Government was formulating such policy so that equal development of all constituencies could be ensured.The Power and PWD Minister, Mr. Venod Sharma said that eight hours power had been ensured for the agriculture sector and a nuclear power plant would be set up in Fatehabad district, the site for the same had already been approved. With the commissioning of this power plant the dreams of the people of getting 24 hours power supply would be visualised.
